Breaking Down Barriers to Quality Pre-K – Post Conference Dialogue

I attended the Pre(k)now conference in Western Massachusetts. It was an interesting process and hope to see more like it with the addition of legislators and business leaders included. As we discussed, that day and previously, the public and the ones that make the policies need to be on board, need to feel that EC is the most important aspect of society that they can help now for the future. EC educators know what is needed but are so busy doing the jobs of educating that little time is left for advocating. A meet like this might generate some powerful advocates in the business sectors. Communication is key and getting national attention, especially in these times, seems like a daunting task bit one we cannot let lag.
