Melanie Pores

I work in a k-5 Dual Language Program in Albany, NY. We will be adding a pre-K component and
I am looking for Dual Language Programs that begin at Pre-K so that my colleague who will be
teaching Pre-K will be able to network to learn about how other Pre-K Dual Language classes
structure their classes-i.e., daily and/or weekly schedules to incorporate a Dual Language model.
Our program is a self-contained 50/50 model with one class per grade.
Any and all contacts and/or examples of schedules that support the needs of a Dual Language Program
would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Melanie Pores

About Me

My name is Sophia Pappas, and I teach pre-kindergarten at an inner-city public school in New Jersey.

By sharing my classroom and my thoughts, I hope to give you more insight into the benefits of high-quality pre-k and how we can all play a role in creating and improving these vital programs. And I want to know what you think, too, so please don’t be shy about leaving comments and using this blog as an outlet for ideas, reflection, and debate.
